| 中村 保（なかむら・たもつ）NAKAMURA Tamotsu 1934年、東京に生まれる 1953年、都立第一商業高校卒業、一橋大学入学、山岳部入部、尖鋭登山をめざす 1957年、北穂高岳滝谷グレポンを初登攀 1958年、一橋大学（商学部）卒業。石川島重工業（株）入社 1961年、一橋大学山岳会のアンデス登山隊に参加し、ペルーのブランカ山群・ プカヒルカ北峰（6046m）の初登頂。 ボリビアのププヤ山群で二つの初登頂を行う 1962年、この年からＩＨＩ石川島播磨重工業（株）の海外プラント輸出業務に 携わる 1968年−1998年 パキスタン・カラチ事務所長、中国室長、メキシコ事務所長、 NZ事業部業務部長、海外プロジェクト部長、IHI香港有限公司社長、 石川島建材工業監査役 1990年−2008年、中国南西辺境―「ヒマラヤの東−チベットのアルプス」踏査 雲南、四川、東チベット、青海、ミャンマーに30回足を運ぶ 1996年、『ヒマラヤの東』（山と渓谷社）出版 1999年―2007年、日本山岳会監事、理事、評議員 2000年、『深い浸食の国』（山と渓谷社）出版 2001年、日本山岳会の海外向け英文誌Japanese Alpine News発行を始める 2003年、ヒマラヤンクラブ創立75周年行事で「チベットのアルプス」記念講演 2003年、日本山岳会・第六回秩父宮記念山岳賞を受賞 2004年、アメリカ山岳会年次総会で「ヒマラヤの東―チベットのアルプス」講演 2004年、ヒマラヤンクラブ・カルカッタで「チベットのアルプス」講演 2005年、『チベットのアルプス』（山と渓谷社）出版 2005年5月・12月、英国アルパインクラブ及びデンマークで「ヒマラヤの東」講演 2007年3月、アメリカ山岳会総会で「東ヒマラヤの氷河」講演、 名誉会員に選ばれる 6月、英国アルパインクラブ創立150周年記念行事に オナードゲストとして出席 10月、国際山岳連盟UIAAより表彰を受ける 11月、第二回アジア黄金のピッケル賞（韓国主催）の審査委員長を務める 2008年2月、ヒマラヤンクラブ創立80周年記念行事で「東ヒマラヤの氷河」講演 5月、ドイツDetjen-Verlagより”Die Alpen Tibets”（ドイツ語版）出版 6月、王立地理学協会（英国）よりBusk Medal 2008を受賞 2009年2月、英国アルパインクラブ、トラベラーズクラブ、ケンブリッジ大学、 アイルランド登山協会「チベットのアルプス」講演 2010年5月、イタリア山岳会およびトレント・フィルム・フェスティバルにて 「チベットのアルプス」講演 11月、ホーランド探検家祭にて「ヒマラヤの東」講演ならびに世界探検家賞を 受賞、ポーランド山岳会の名誉会員認証 11月、スペイン・カタル二ア山岳会にて講演 2011年5月、ニュージーランド山岳会（クライストチャーチ）にて 「チベットのアルプス」講演、名誉会員認証 10月、国際山岳連盟（UIAA）年次総会（ネパール・カトマンズ）にて 「最後の辺境へ」講演 11月、ブルガリア国際写真祭にて「最後の辺境へ」講演 12月、チェコ・プラハ、国際アルプ二ズム・フェスティバルにて「最後の辺境」講演 2012年4月、「最後の辺境―チベットのアルプス」（東京新聞社）出版 11月、中華民国健行登山会・台北にて「チベットのアルプス」講演（予定） （現 在）日本山岳会名誉会員―英文誌Japanese Alpine News編集人 アメリカン・アルパインクラブ名誉会員、 アルパインクラブ名誉会員(英国) ヒマラヤンクラブ名誉会員(インド) ポーランド山岳協会名誉会員 ニュージーランド・アルパインクラブ名誉会員 王立地理学協会フェロー(英国) |
■PROFILE TAMOTSU NAKAMURA was born in Tokyo, Japan, in 1934 and has been visiting the greater ranges since his first ascent of Pucahirca Norte (6046m in the Cordillera Blanca of Peru in 1961. He has lived in Pakistan, Mexico, New Zealand and Hong Kong and in the last 19 years has made 30 exploratory journeys to the least-known borderland of West China, so called “East of the Himalayas ? the Alps of Tibet”. The area covers unfrequented mountains region of East Tibet and Hengduan mountains of Yunnan, Sichuan, Eeast Tibet and Qinghai provinces. He is Honorary member of the four clubs ? Thee Japanese Alpine Club, The Alpine Club, The American Alpine Club, The Himalayan Club and Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. He has been Editor of the Japanese Alpine News being published by the Japanese Alpine Club. ■Tamotsu Nakamura Idle minds repeat that there would be no blank on the maps and veiled mountains no longer would exist in the greater ranges. But who knows all Tibet a vast mountain region that spreads from Eastern Tibet to the western rim of Sichuan basin, where incredibly complex topography holds countless unclimbed summits. Really stunning and magnificent. Many of them will remain an enigma. To quest for these unfrequented peaks and mysterious gorge country of the great five rivers in Asia: Upper Yangtze, Mekong, Salween, Irrawaddy and Brahmaptura, Tamotsu (Tom) Nakamura started his Odyssey to an alluring borderland of West China in 1990. He was born in Tokyo in 1934 and his notable first success in climbing was Pucahirca Norte 6046m in the Cordillera Blanca of Peru in 1961. He lived in Pakistan, Mexico, New Zealand and Hong Kong. In the last 19 years he has accomplished 30 exploratory expeditions to the mountains and valleys of Eastern Tibet, Northwest Yunnan, West Sichuan and South Qinghai which he calls as “East of the Himalaya ? Alps of Tibet”. In the fall of 2003 he reached a forbidden valley of the source of the Irrawaddy River in Southeast Tibet. In particular, he has extensively explored and unveiled unknown peaks and glaciers in the Nyaiqentanglha East range, Kangri Garpo range and Deep Gorge Country in Eastern Tibet. |
